The Mini Directories contain codes that are used to categorize information. Some Mini Directories contain other information or settings that will determine how the Needles program uses the selected directory item. As with the other directories, they enable you to quickly select your choice from a list, eliminating repetitive entry of information and possible misspelling. All of the standard Mini Directories are required and therefore cannot be deleted. Also, the name of a Mini Directory cannot be changed. Several of the Mini Directories are critical to the proper operation of the Needles program. For example, you cannot add a party to a case without a Party Role. Some of the other critical Mini Directories include Calendar Status, Insurance Type, Value Codes, and Note Topics. If interfacing with an accounting program such as QuickBooks, you will need to enter the Credit and Debit Account mini directories.
The Header Band across the top of the directory window allows you to display or hide the left-hand grid pane using the Hide/Show List button. Navigation buttons are available to easily page through the members in other groups using the navigation arrows. The total number of groups and the number of the current group is displayed.
