Modifying a CRM Screen
In order to modify the CRM Tab user defined screen for a Case Type,
you will need permission to the CRM
Tab, Case
Type Directory and User
Defined Screens. Existing user defined fields, group boxes, text labels
and spacers can only be resized, repositioned or modified using the Properties
Pane.
To modify a CRM user defined screen for a Case Type,
- Click on the Case Types
button on the Directory ribbon.
- Double-click on the desired Case
Type.
- Click on the Tab
Setup Tab.
- An Edit hyperlink
will display when a screen has already been defined. Click on the
Edit hyperlink to modify the
existing user defined screen. The selected Design
Layout Screen will display.
- Select the item(s) (Fields, Group Boxes, Text Fields,
Spacers) you would like to modify. Ways in which items can be modified
are:
- Click and drag to move a field to a different
position on the screen. Only one field can be repositioned
at a time unless contained within a Group Box. When moving a Group
Box, all items contained within the box will move with it.
- Hover your mouse on the outer edge to display
the double arrows and resize
the selected field.
- Use the Customization
Tool Bar to change the alignment or position of the selected
field(s).
- Change the properties of a selected item
in the Properties
Pane. Only the General
Properties will display in the Properties Pane when multiple
fields are selected.
- All selected fields can be modified or
deleted
from the screen.
- Once created, your ability to change a
user defined field is limited. Field Titles of all fields on a
Case Folder screen can be modified in the Case
Fields Directory. Field Types cannot be changed, and the Field
Length can only be modified for fields of alphabetic or money
field types.
- Click the Save
button to save changes.
To clear an existing user defined screen to get the
copy prompt to copy from another screen of the same type, you will need
to delete
all the fields on the screen. Save and close the screen. Reopen the screen
and the copy
prompt should display, allowing you to select the desired screen from
which to copy.
