The QuickBooks SDK Accounting Interface is a direct bidirectional link between the Needles database and the QuickBooks database. When using this interface, there is no need to import or export files between the two programs. You will be able to request checks, enter deposits, and enter time entries in Needles that will link to your QuickBooks data.
You must be running QuickBooks™ Pro, Premiere or Enterprise Solutions. Always check for version compatibility in the Technical Specifications on the Needles website or contact Needles Support at (410) 363-1976 prior to setting up the bidirectional link. Other setup items need to be completed prior to running the utilities on the QuickBooks SDK Interface tab or attempting to use the QuickBooks SDK Interface.
When QuickBooks SDK has been configured in the Interfaces tab, the Accounting ribbon will display with options for requesting and exporting checks.

The QuickBooks SDK bidirectional interface communicates directly with your QuickBooks database. Once you have completed the setup of the SDK interface and have linked parties to customers and providers to vendors, the check request information is sent to QuickBooks upon completion of the export process. QuickBooks will then send the check number back to Needles once the check has been printed.
To request a check, staff members select or create Value items and Needles stores the data in a holding file. At any time, the bookkeeper may access the holding file and export all or only selected check requests. Needles will then create the appropriate Value item in the case, as well as post the check to the specified QuickBooks account after exporting. In this manner, many users may request checks and the bookkeeper can review the requested checks to determine which checks to export to QuickBooks.
