Adding a Companion Group

New companion groups can be created using the Companion Groups Directory as well as directly from the Companion Cases tab in a Case Folder. From the Companion Cases tab in a case, you can add the current case to existing companion groups and also create new companion groups in which to associate a case.

Adding an Existing Group

To add an existing Companion group,

  1. While on the Companion Cases tab in a Case Folder, click the Add button on the Case ribbon.
  2. The Companion Case Groups window will display with two grids: Groups and Group Members. These grid panes show a list of all companion groups and case members from the Companion Groups Directory.
  3. Select an existing group from the Groups grid that you would like to add to the current case.

Use the filter row at the top of the Groups grid to quickly find an existing group by name.

  1. Click the OK button to add the selected group into the Groups grid of the Companion Cases tab. The current case will be added as a member to the selected group.  All case members, including the current case will be listed in the Group Members grid.
  1. Click the Save button to keep your changes.
