The Provider Directory stores the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of the people and organizations that have provided a service in a case, such as doctors, hospitals, insurance companies, adjusters, police departments, judges, lawyers, and referral sources. The Provider Directory uses two code directories which standardize information for input in the Role and Specialty fields: the Provider Role Directory categorizes providers by type of service; and the Specialty Codes Directory further categorizes providers by their specialty.
Many fields throughout Needles display the information from the Provider Directory. The information in the Provider Directory is shared with all cases in which that provider is involved. Updates to the provider information need only be made in the Provider Directory to be reflected in all cases to which the provider is attached.
